These are the Terms and Conditions which will govern the redemption of your rewards for the Inala Rewards Program commencing on receipt of your membership joining fee and first-month subscription. On receipt of your welcome pack, you are deemed to have read and consented to these terms and conditions before starting to use your rewards.

Authorised Financial Services Provider

    1. Direct Rewards (Pty) Ltd is a Juristic Representative of The Activation Agency (Pty) Ltd, FSP 44785

   2. My Lawyer Legal Assistance Services (Pty) Ltd is an authorised Financial Services Provider, FSP 4645

   3. African Unity Insurance Limited is an authorised Financial Services Provider, FSP 17697


All members during the term of being an active Inala Rewards member agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

  1.   The provider of the rewards is Inala Rewards (Pty) Ltd in collaboration with Direct Rewards (Pty) Ltd and/or its agencies (“Organisers”).

  2.   The duration of the membership and quantity of vouchers may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Organisers.

  3.   All participants must:

    1. be legal residents in the Republic of South Africa;

    2. be currently residing in the country at the date of the commencement of membership to the Inala Rewards Program;

    3. be at least 18 (eighteen) years old at the date of the commencement of the abovementioned Program;

    4. be in the possession of a valid South African Identity book or Passport (if Foreign National); and

    5. redeem their voucher in the same month that it is offered (sent to the Member) after which the voucher will become invalid.


No negotiations will be entered into.

  1. To be eligible to receive the reward, the participant must be an active paid-up Member of Inala Rewards to be eligible for the reward.

  2. The Organiser will verify the validity of Members and reject any Member who has not agreed to these terms and conditions. Errors and omission may be accepted at the Organiser’s discretion. Failure by the Organiser to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

  3. Delivery of the voucher/s and coupon/s will occur by way of electronic means, redemption via the designated telephone numbers or any other means as indicated by the Organisers.

  4. Rewards:

    1. Grocery Coupons

      • Monthly FMCG coupons which are redeemable at Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper. The items made available may change at the Organiser’s discretion.

      • Members can redeem a maximum of 5 (five) purchases per item per month.

    2. Legal Benefit (provided via My Lawyer Legal Assistance Services)

      • Legal Telephonic Assistance and Advice Services.

    3. Funeral Cover (underwritten by African Unity Insurance Limited)

      • R 10 000 Family Cover

    4. Retail Benefits

      • Receive 10% Discount on all Edgars, JET and C N A gift card purchases made via the Organiser.

      • Up to 15% discount on Greyhound bus tickets

Participants can redeem rewards as follows:

  1. Grocery Coupons: Please dial *120*1151# and follow the prompts (choose the reward). The reward voucher Wicode will be sent electronically to the Member to be used for redemption at the retailer.

  2. Legal Assistance and Advice – as per the benefit schedule provided. Please note all services must be requested directly with the service provider (My Lawyer Legal Assistance Services (Pty) Ltd). The telephone number for the legal advice and assistance line is 0861 333 118.

  3. Funeral Cover – Immediate cover for the main member. No waiting periods. No medical aid.

  4. Discounted Edcon Gift Card and Greyhound or Citi-liner tickets offer is only available if purchased through the Inala Rewards Call Centre (087 825 1151) office hours or via Discount vouchers will be automatically sent to your mobile number every month. Full T & C’s available on the Inala Rewards website.

  5. 2 for 1 Soccer Tickets – Members must call the Inala Rewards call centre on 087 825 1151

Redemption of the reward process:

  1. Grocery Coupons: to redeem the grocery coupons the participant must request the reward voucher pin via their mobile phone on *120*1151#. The reward voucher pin will be sent electronically to the participant to be used for redemption at the retailer (Shoprite, Checkers or Checkers Hyper). The pin is valid for 24 hours. The participant may request and utilise 5 pins per product per month.

  2. Legal Assistance and Advice – as per the benefit schedule provided. Please note all services must be requested directly with the service provider (My Lawyer Legal Assistance Services (Pty) Ltd). The telephone number for the legal advice and assistance line is 0861 333 118.

  3. Funeral Cover – as per the policy schedule provided. Please note all claims and client queries for this must be done directly with the underwriter African Unity Insurance Limited.

  4. 2 for 1 Soccer Tickets – To redeem this reward, members can call the call centre (087 825 1151) to redeem. The first ticket must be paid for upfront and members will receive vouchers to use at the money market redemption centre at participating partners. The agents will notify members where they will be able to redeem this benefit.

Membership Fees

  1. Monthly membership fees are required to maintain an active Inala Rewards memberships. The monthly contribution will be calculated on the basis of the program option of the participants Inala Rewards membership; and

​General Terms and Conditions

  • In accordance with the confidentiality policies and practices of the Organiser, none of the details of any member on the Inala Rewards program will be disclosed or used by the Organiser for any purposes other than for verification of membership, introduction and marketing of new products from Inala Rewards partners except where permitted by the terms and conditions of the Rewards service within which the rewards program is operated.

  • Members give consent to Inala Rewards to contact them for related communication and to allow Inala Rewards partners to contact them to introduce and market new products. If the participant/member wishes to opt-out they may do so by contacting the Inala Rewards customer care contact centre on 087 825 1151 and advising them accordingly.

  • Rewards are not transferable and the member may not substitute the voucher for cash.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to change the reward should they deem necessary, to a reward of similar economic value.

  • Information regarding the Inala Rewards program that is published on authorized advertising material will also form part of the terms and conditions of the Promotion.

  • The Organiser and/or its appointed agents collect customer information to conduct the offer and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to, agents, contractors, service providers, offer suppliers and as required, to South African regulatory authorities.

  • The Organiser may in their sole discretion amend these terms and conditions at any time, without notice, and such amendments shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of publication of the revised terms and conditions on the Organisers website

  • If the provision of these rewards is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Organisers, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorized intervention or fraud, the Organisers reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to cancel any participants membership to the Inala Rewards program; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Inala Rewards program as appropriate, subject to the approval of relevant regulatory authorities.

  • The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, suspend or terminate the Inala Rewards programme, without notice at any time and no liability shall lie against the Organisers in favour of any participant and/ or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination. Therefore the participant waives his/her right which they may have against the Organisers and hereby acknowledge that they will have no right of recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Organisers.

  • To the extent permitted by law, the Organisers exclude all warranties (express or implied), representations and liabilities regarding the Inala Rewards program (other than for death or personal injury caused by its negligence and/or fraud).

  • This Inala Rewards program is governed by these terms and conditions. The member hereby indemnifies the Organiser against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of any kind regardless of how this was caused, and whether it arose under the law of contract or delict or otherwise, because of the members entrance to the Promotion.

  • Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Inala Rewards program shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

  • The obligation of the Organiser, the Partners and agents are deemed fulfilled when a reward is redeemed.

  • In the event of a member not paying their monthly membership fee for the Inala Rewards program, the Organiser will immediately suspend their access to any rewards. If the membership fee is not brought up to date with regards to payments within 3 working days, the Organiser reserves the right to terminate all rewards and block all access to the participant/members rewards.

  • The Organiser, its agents and distributors accept no responsibility and they shall not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Member or other bearer, or accept any liability for (a) any non-acceptance by the Partner of the Reward or (b) any inability by the Member to use the voucher or at all (c) the lack of quality or any other aspect of any service which is or should be provided by the Partner, nor will any of them be liable for any personal loss, injury, death or damage to property occurring whilst redeem the rewards.

  • The Organiser, its agents and distributors cannot replace any lost or stolen vouchers and reserve the right to withdraw or amend any details and/or vouchers without notice.

  • The Organiser is not responsible for any reward misrepresentation (written or verbal) or warranties by anyone / group other than the Organiser.

  • The Organiser and its authorized agents have no responsibility for the administration and will not accept any liability in relation to the quality or service thereof. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the Members statutory rights remain reserved.

  • For any queries regarding the Member’s Inala Rewards membership, the Member can contact the Inala Rewards customer team weekdays during office hours on 087 825 0678 (excluding weekends and public holidays). The Inala Rewards reservation line is open Monday to Sunday (7.30 am to 9 pm).


If part or all of any clause of these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable:

  1. It will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible; and

  2. It will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.
